The Bloody Mary has long been the chicest way to soothe a head-thumping hangover, but we always felt it was missing something. And that something was carbs.
But it seems our prayers have been answered, as someone’s gone and invented the Bloody Mary pizza.
This dream team of booze (more on that later), spice and dough was the brainchild of Michael Lecouteur, executive chef at Mayfair pizza co. – a man who clearly has his priorities in order.
The Bloody Mary pizza comes in three incarnations; the classic Bloody Mary pizza (with a fiery tomato sauce which includes Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish and a shot of Belvedere vodka), the Bloody BBQ pizza (that same boozy sauce topped with pulled pork, smoked beef brisket and smoked pancetta infused with yet more vodka) and the Bloody Superfood pizza (a health-conscious booze free option for those who are ready to start the detox).
A cure this tasty is almost worth getting a hangover for.
