The new Traeger Timberline 850 and 1300 model wood-fired pellet grills have taken a huge leap forward from their previous models. They are linked via wifi and the Traeger app to your smartphone, either iOS or Android. The app lets you start the grill remotely and monitor and control the temperature, ensuring you can check on the meat without having to keep going outside to check. alarms will tell you when your food has reached the desired temperature, so no more over-cooked food. The cooking chamber now has double wall insulation, to retain the heat, meaning you use less fuel, so your cooking will cost less. The hopper also holds a lot more fuel (24lb) so you can get through a low and slow cook without having to top up. The Traeger wood-pellets are sourced from forests sustainably managed by Traeger, and contain no additives or binders, they are stuck together under extreme high pressure usingthe tree’s own gluten.
The improved design is a lot more stylish and contemporary, edging away from the ‘re-cycled oil drum look’. All in all this is a fool-proof wood-fired grill for outstanding results every time.
