Brian Tucker’s Turkey Poppers:

2-3 Pounds Wild Turkey Breast cut into ½ inch cubes
2 Jars jalapeno slices
½ – 2/3 Cup Soy Sauce
2 Packages of Bacon
1 Bottle Traeger Honey Bourbon BBQ Sauce
Hi Mountain Seasonings Garlic Pepper Rub
Tooth Picks

Place the turkey in a non-metallic container or Ziploc bag. Empty both jars of jalapeno slices and juice, and soy sauce into the container with turkey. Make sure to mix or shake to completely coat all pieces and are fully submerged. Place in the refrigerator 4-24 hours to marinate.

After marinating, wrap a piece of turkey and a slice of jalapeno in bacon so that it is fully wrapped and secure with a tooth pick. Once all the pieces are wrapped coat them with Hi Mountain Seasonings Garlic Pepper rub, you can substitute other Hi Mountain Seasonings that you prefer.

Turn Traeger Pellet Grill on to 375 degrees, and turn smoke on.
Place all pieces on the grill and cook until turkey is cooked all the way through (roughly 180 degrees internally about 20 min) and the bacon is crispy but not burnt.

Then coat each piece with BBQ Sauce and leave on the grill an additional minute or two until the sauce runs evenly over the piece.

Eat and Enjoy!
