Today while parked at a friends house in Seward, Alaska we break out the Traeger PTG grill and cook up a Prime Rib Roast to celebrate a birthday.

Ingredients used for the roast crust Cilantro, Rosemary, Thyme, Red Wine Vinegar, Garlic, Olive Oil and Salt and Pepper.

Gary put all the ingredients into our Bullet mixer to make a paste and rubbed onto the roast.

We preheated the Traeger to 450F then put on the roast and seared for a half hour at 450 then dropped the temperature to 225 for another 3 hours. The roast was at a medium rare when the meat thermometer read 130F. He then wrapped the roast in tin foil and a dish towel to rest for 30 minutes until carving up and serving the roast at dinner time.
