Today I’ll show you how to make a Mexican Flatbread Pizza with Chorizo and Papaya on the Gourmet Guru Grill. If you’ve never made a homemade pizza, then you have got to try this pizza recipe. Easy and simple.
Ingredients
• 1 Pre-made/pre-cooked pizza dough
• ½ lb Chorizo
• ½ lb Shrimp, cut in half
• 4 oz Adobo paste
• 4 tablespoons olive oil, separated
• 6 – 8 ounce Salsa
• ¼ cup Mexican cheese blend
• ¼ cup chopped red onion
• ¼ cup diced jalapeno
• ¼ cup chopped cilantro
• 1/3 cup diced payapa
Recipe Instructions
1. Heat a cast iron skillet on medium heat.
2. Cook the chorizo.
3. Add the adobo paste and mix well.
4. Add the shrimp and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
5. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil and mix well.
6. Remove from the heat and let cool. While the mixture is cooling, heat the grill to 350 degrees F using indirect hea.
7. Brush 2 tablespoons olive oil on the pizza crust.
8. Spread the salsa on the pizza crust.
9. Add the Mexican cheese.
10. Spread on the Chorizo and shrimp mixture.
11. Add the red onion, jalapeno and cilantro.
12. Add the chopped Papaya
13. Place the pizza on the grill and cook for 15 minutes.
14. Serve!
